Associate Artist, Wayne Marshall, continues a busy career as a conductor and recitalist, appearing regularly at the Proms, as well as inaugurating new organs around the world such as Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles and the Philharmonie in Paris. His programme reflects the rich but neglected tradition of British organ music. Some names will be familiar, such as Howells and Parry, but there is also music by less well-known figures. Edward Bairstow was organist at York Minster, while Walford Davies succeeded Elgar as Master of the King’s Music in 1934.
