It is advisable to log in to your account (if you have one) or to register before starting the booking process. Select your event in the What’s On section and follow the ‘Book tickets’ link to make a purchase. You have the option to select your own seat from an interactive plan or to let us choose the best available seat for you according to your preferences. If you select your own seat, you can see at a glance which seats are available. If you are not ready to make a booking but would like more information about auditorium seating options, please visit the Seating Plan section.
When you book online, you can also add gift vouchers and dining to your order. You can also email any special requests such as access issues or dietary requirements directly to the Box Office.
If you have a Promotional Code, enter your code when prompted. If you would like to buy tickets at the same time for another performance without a Promotional Code, you will need to do this as a separate transaction.

Visiting With Children
The Bridgewater Hall welcomes families with small children to family-friendly concerts and events, and for these events family tickets or discounts for children are usually available. For more information about the full range of family-friendly concerts and events at the Hall, please see the What’s On listings. Families are also welcome to enjoy our informal free concerts such as the Live at Lunchtime series and occasional performances in the Stalls Café Bar.
Our formal classical concerts demand high levels of concentration from the audience and performers, and are not suitable for babies or young children. We do not allow pre-school aged children into the Auditorium for these events. Older children attending formal classical concerts must be able to concentrate for the duration of the performance without disturbing other members of the audience.
Concessions
Discounted ticket prices at The Bridgewater Hall are available to different concessionary groups dependent on the particular concert. If booking online, please select the appropriate concession group(s) where prompted to show what concessions are available.
Alternatively, check with the Box Office for the concessions applicable to your chosen concert.
Please note ‘Senior Citizen‘ tickets are available to anyone of the age 60 or over.
Please note proof of eligibility for some concessions may be requested. Only one discount can be claimed; concessions cannot be claimed with any other discounts or offers.
Group Bookings
Contact our Group Sales Office on 0161 907 9010 for details of the group discount rates for your chosen concert.
If you have chosen concerts from the main Hallé, BBC Philharmonic or International Concert Series, group discounts are available as follows:
10% discount for groups of 10-29
15% discount for groups of 30-49
25% discount for groups of 50+
Group discounts are occasionally available for other concerts, please ask when booking. Group discounts cannot be claimed with any other discounts or offers.
Flexible Booking
Flexible Series Booking is available on most classical concerts including the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic and the International Concert Series. Book 5 or more of these events to receive a discount. The discount only applies to Full Price tickets. Look out for ‘Flexible Booking’ in the events listings, indicating which concerts are applicable.
If you are booking the same number of seats for each concert, you can simply select your own seats, add them to your basket and the discount will be applied automatically once you reach the qualifying number of concerts. If you are booking different numbers of seats for each concert, we advise that you call the Box Office to get the best possible discount.
Only one discount can be claimed; concessions cannot be claimed with any other discounts or offers.
Refunds & Exchanges
Refunds
Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded for any event unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled.
Ticket exchanges
For certain events, particularly concerts by the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata and International Concert Series concerts, we can credit your account with the cost of your tickets if, for some reason, you are unable to attend a concert.
Tickets must be physically returned to the Box Office at least 3 working days before the concert date. This credit amount (minus a return fee of £2.20 per ticket) can then be used to purchase tickets for another concert of your choice.
Please note that this facility is not available for most non-classical and popular classical concerts.
Late Availability
Sold Out Concerts
Where a concert is completely Sold Out, this will be mentioned in the event listing. If you get a message during booking saying ‘Tickets no longer available online, please call the Box Office’ this means that there may be some seats available in areas which are not sold online eg the Choir Seats (see below). Occasionally, additional seats may become available at a later date or on the day of the concert. Notifications of additional availability are often announced on our Facebook page and Twitter. For some concerts, we operate a Wait List in case additional tickets become available.
Choir Seats
Choir Seats are only available for certain concerts and, for some concerts, will only go on sale close to the date of the concert. Choir Seats may not be available to buy online, please contact the Box Office on 0161 907 9000. Please note you can only sit in the Choir Seats if you have a ticket for those seats; where the Choir Seats are not available, stewards will ask any patrons sitting in this area to move to their allocated seats.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers can be purchased in any denomination (min £10) and may be redeemed in person at the Box Office, over the telephone or online.*
We will email the purchaser an email confirmation which can then be forwarded to the recipient. A hard copy will also be posted to the purchaser.
* Please note that vouchers may be used in part payment with any unused balance held on your account. The Bridgewater Hall accepts no liability for lost or stolen gift vouchers. Gift vouchers will be sent to the shipping address specified. Gift vouchers are valid for two years from the original date of purchase. Vouchers cannot be used in the bar or restaurant, unless the restaurant booking is paid for in advance through the Box Office or online.
