Tom Redmond discusses the evening’s programme.
The Siberian Symphony Orchestra visits The Bridgewater Hall as part of it’s first ever UK tour. The orchestra is based in Omsk and has a burgeoning reputation for incredible concert performances. They will be joined by an old friend of the Hall’s audiences, Freddy Kempf, in his famed interpretation of Rachmaninov’s epic Piano Concerto No.3. In the second half the orchestra will perform Rimsky-Korsakov’s ever popular evocation of the tales from the Arabian nights, Scheherazade.
Part of Manchester’s International Concert Series, The Bridgewater Hall’s own classical music concert series.
