Flautist Elisabet Franch has received numerous international recognitions: Grand Prix of the 27th World Music Competition, Vienna New Year’s International Music Competition (Austria), 1st prize and Jury Prize at the American Protégé Woodwinds and Brass Competition (Carnegie Hall, USA), Anton Rubinstein International Flute Competition (Germany), Domenico Cimarosa International Flute Competition (Italy), Golden Classical Awards (USA), Premi Talent (Spain), among others. In 2013, legendary flautist Sir James Galway presented her with the ‘Rising Star’ Award at the Galway Flute Festival.
Her debut album, Gypsy Airs (Solfa Recordings, 2015) was awarded two gold medals (Album and Artist) at the Global Music Awards (California) and Best Classical Album at the Akademia Music Awards (Los Angeles). The album was well received by national and international critics. Reviews published in Pizzicato Magazine (Luxembourg), The Flute View (USA), Revista Musical Catalana and Platea Magazine highlighted Elisabet’s musicality, sound, maturity and brilliant technique.
In May 2022 Elisabet debuts with Sony Classical, releasing her second album, Franch plays Franck. She currently serves as Principal Flute of Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès.
