Aurora Percussion Duo thrilled their Mid-day audience last season with their theatrical presentation, electrifying stage presence and a programme combining musical and visual elements. They are true virtuosi both individually and in ensemble. Their fiery and wide-ranging programme features a new work by RNCM Professor of Composition Adam Gorb – a long title to describe hot rock music! – the sound of a conch shell in Dance of the Drums, plus arrangements of the peaceful choral song Sleep, and the swirling, neoclassical opening movement of Le Tombeau de Couperin.
