Manchester Chamber Choir’s 2018 Christmas performance was such a hit that the Mid-days couldn’t wait to invite the choir to perform again. Expertly conducted and introduced by Jonathan Lo, their new programme is a blend of traditional and modern carols, seasonal sacred music, and (a repeat from last year) the hilarious Chilcott arrangement of The Twelve Days of Christmas during which each iteration of “five gold rings” is characterised by a musical surprise. The choir’s performance of Chilcott’s music brought the house down last year so, to anyone who missed it (and to all of those who didn’t), make sure you catch it this time.
