A musician of eclectic artistry, Latvian violinist Roberts Balanas enjoys a wide range of musical interests and aims to tear down the boundaries between different genres of music. For this Manchester Mid-day performance Balanas will join forces with internationally acclaimed Chinese pianist Siqian Li in a versatile programme consisting of works by Max Richter, Sergei Prokofiev and Maurice Ravel as well as a selection Roberts’ own arrangements and the premiere of new work for solo violin and electronics.
