The Instituto Cervantes Manchester, in collaboration with The Iberian and Latin American Music Society, is pleased to present a concert dedicated to Zarzuela, a unique lyrical genre with its roots in 17th Century Spain.
On this occasion, we will enjoy ‘An Introduction to Zarzuela: a Selection of Highlights of the Spanish Lyric-Dramatic Genre’, performed by the acclaimed Spanish-French pianist Ricardo Gosalbo and the award-winning Colombian soprano Julieth Lozano.

Live at Lunchtime is a series of free concerts, taking place on various Fridays throughout May to September. Doors open at 12.30pm, with each 45-minute performance starting promptly at 12.45pm, providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy some musical entertainment during the space of your lunch break!
