Experience a lunchtime concert of exceptional music with violinist Dimitra Ananiadou and composer-pianist Richard Whalley, their programme bringing together a vibrant mix of styles and eras. They’ll begin with Manuel de Falla’s spirited Danse Espagnole from La vida breve, followed by Maurice Ravel’s sultry Pièce en forme de Habanera. Next, Richard will present his atmospheric composition, Butterflies, before Alex Apostolopoulos’s energetic Rhapsodia Alpha, their performance concluding with Ludwig van Beethoven’s dramatic and dynamic Violin Sonata Op. 23.
