This dazzling programme showcases the next generation of talented musicians as the Hallé Youth Orchestra takes to the stage.

Euan Shields, winner of the 2023 Siemens Hallé International Conductors Competition and Director of the Hallé Youth Orchestra, enters his second year in post. This concert will showcase the flourishing relationship between him and these outstanding young instrumentalists. Supported by professional musicians, the Youth Orchestra offers members the chance to experience the buzz of contributing to a large ensemble.

Sibelius’s First Symphony announced the arrival of one of the all-time great symphonists. A tantalising opportunity to hear a youthful interpretation of this Romantically-influenced work, deeply affecting and imbued with melodic freshness.
