Clemens Schuldt conductor | Simon Trpčeski piano
Poulenc Sinfonietta (28’)
Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.2 (20’)
Dvořák Symphony No.7 (37’)
Dvořák wrote that his Seventh Symphony ‘must be capable of stirring the world’ – and it was a great leap forwards in the career of a symphonic master. Clemens Schuldt conducts it, along with two delightful works that lifted the post-war gloom: Poulenc’s vivacious Sinfonietta and Shostakovich’s treasured Second Piano Concerto.
