The world’s leading theremin virtuoso, Carolina Eyck will be making magic from thin air with a concerto written for her by Kalevi Aho. Outi Tarkiainen’s Midnight Sun Variations celebrates the endless daylight of the Nordic summer, before a work with a very different inspiration: Shostakovich’s 12th Symphony, dedicated to Lenin.
