Music Education Hubs

Music Education Hubs bring together music teaching in and out of schools, with a delivery network including orchestras, performers, and high-quality music tutors. If you’re looking for one-off or ongoing music activities for anyone aged up to 19, these should be your first stop.

Simply Singing

Simply Singing have over 10 years of experience creating choirs and running workshops designed for people from all backgrounds and abilities. Simply Singing’s Co-Founders and Directors, Alice Shearn and Louise Johnston, lead our amazing Bridgewater Hall Singers here at the Hall. Learn more

Live Music Now

Live Music Now works alongside those with reduced access to live music, in care homes, schools, hospitals, hospices and community settings across the UK. We work closely with Live Music Now to deliver the hugely popular, Songs and Scones, Be Hear Now, and SEND school concerts at the Hall. Learn more

Royal Northern College of Music 

The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in the community offers college visit days, composition projects and youth performance opportunities with schools and individual young people. Students from RNCM also work regularly with organisations including The Bridgewater Hall to support education projects whilst developing their own leadership skills. Learn more

The Hallé 

Our resident orchestra, The Hallé, leads a wide range of opportunities, including children’s and youth choirs and ensembles, school projects, and school and family concerts both at The Bridgewater Hall and their new base at St Peter’s in Ancoats. Regular activities at The Bridgewater Hall include the ever-popular Hallé for Youth and Set Works concerts for KS2 students. Learn more

Networks

We’re proud to be members of the Manchester Engagement Network and Manchester Family Arts Network (MADE Mcr). Both groups work creatively and collaboratively to improve accessibility to the arts in Manchester and beyond
