Members of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment discuss performing Mozart on period instruments.
Sir Roger Norrington was among the first innovators of the period instrument movement, founding the London Classical Players in the 1970s. Now the OAE’s Conductor Emeritus, he joins forces with the orchestra’s Principal Horn, Roger Montgomery, to explore an instrument which Mozart loved. Mozart was a master of musical deception, so that nothing is ever quite what it seems, and just when you think you know his music, it will spring a surprise!
