Quincey Brown is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Manchester. Drawing lyrical influence from the candour and cheekiness of writers such as Hanif Kureishi and Stephin Merritt of Magnetic Fields, her harp-led compositions have been described as “transcending convention in every manner”, laced with textural layers of piano and electric guitar. Quincey has enjoyed airtime on both BBC 6 Music and Amazing Radio, and in addition to her solo endeavours, plays harp and bass for bands Canter Semper and Lichen Slow respectively.
