Luxuriate in the warmth of the orchestra and immerse yourself in a symphony of seasonal melodies.

Under the baton of Agata Zajac and presented by Petroc Trelawny, this concert promises an harmonious journey through the essence of summer. Orchestral favourites include the enchanting overture to Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the pastoral beauty of Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony, Debussy’s languid Prélude à l’aprés-midi d’un Faune and Gershwin’s sultry Summertime from his folk opera Porgy and Bess. Savour the virtuosic skills of Hallé Leader Roberto Ruisi in Summer, first from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and then from Piazzolla’s interpretation, The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.

This concert is sponsored by Siemens.
