Delyana Lazarova conductor
Programme includes:
Tchaikovsky Symphony No.4
In 2002, the Hallé Youth Orchestra took to The Bridgewater Hall stage for the very first time. In the 20 years since its creation, the Youth Orchestra has explored many inspirational projects, enjoyed residential courses and tours, performing familiar works as well as more challenging repertoire. Its current Music Director, Delyana Lazarova, takes to the podium for this concert which includes a performance of Tchaikovsky’s fateful Fourth Symphony. The work moves through moments of melancholy, anguish and poignancy, from its ominous opening bars to its frenzied finale.
The Hallé is very grateful to the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, the Oglesby Charitable Trust, The Radcliffe Trust, The Zochonis Charitable Trust, the Kirby Laing Foundation, 29th May 1961 Charity and many individual benefactors for their continued support of the Hallé Youth Orchestra.
