Mendelssohn Hebrides Overture (Fingal’s Cave)
Brahms Violin Concerto
Mendelssohn Symphony No.3, ‘Scottish’

James Ehnes is among the world’s leading exponents of romantic violin repertoire, and we’re delighted to welcome back the Canadian virtuoso for a real tour de force: Brahms’ gorgeous, glorious Violin Concerto. Making his debut with us, conductor Roderick Cox takes us north of the border for two much-loved works by Mendelssohn: the evocative Scottish Symphony and the thrilling portrayal of Fingal’s Cave.
