Altrincham Choral Society, joined on this occasion by Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir, Congleton Choral Society, Sandbach Choral Society and members of Royal Leamington Spa Bach Choir, is looking forward to celebrating its 75th anniversary by performing Edward Elgar’s setting of Cardinal Newman’s poem, The Dream of Gerontius, the story of a man’s death and his soul’s journey into the next world.
