With a mixture of live music and multimedia, Minimalism Changed My Life showcases the transcendental powers of Minimalism in an uplifting and spine-tingling experience.

Minimalism Changed My Life is a truly unique opportunity to experience the last big idea in classical music, one that has rocked mainstream music and reverberated through the genres ever since. With its roots in the social and political upheaval of the late 1960s, Minimalism went on to influence everything from Prog Rock to Dance music.

Based on Charles Hazlewood’s acclaimed 2018 BBC 4 programme, Tones, Drones and Arpeggios, this concert explores work by some of the great composers of the genre who rebooted classical music in the 20th century.
