Risa Hall, great-niece of Estee Lauder and friend of The New York Dolls, was born in New York City where she attended Forest Hills High, the same school as Simon and Garfunkel and The Ramones. The school was immortalised in The Ramones’s ‘Rock and Roll High’. In her trio, Risa Hall covers multiple genres, spanning jazz, country, pop and Americana with a bit of soft rock. Their music has been described as ‘lyrically courageous, musically eclectic performing with genuine inspiration’, by the BBC.
