Chetham’s Saxophone Choir was formed in 2004 and is made up of saxophonists aged 10-18. They play a wide range of repertoire including music from the Baroque period, orchestral works, original works for saxophone choir as well as a large selection of modern and Jazz music. They are looking forward to contributing to Chetham’s outreach programme next year giving workshops and concerts in the local community.
Other events in the building – such as tours, lunch groups and conferences – help to maintain our concert programme and Bridgewater for All activity throughout the year. Occasionally a small amount of sound transfer will arise as part of a busy, working building.
