Join Stephen Threlfall, Stuart Overington and the Gorton Philharmonic as we mark the 200th Anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre with a play through of Sir Malcolm Arnold’s Peterloo Overture (choral version). In addition to rehearsing this powerful work in the inspirational setting of The Bridgewater Hall’s auditorium, your ticket also includes tea and a freshly made scone with jam and clotted cream.
When booking, please state which orchestral part you would like to play or which choral part you would like to sing. We recommend that instrumentalists have a playing ability of grade 6 and over. Singers should be able to read music.
For this event participants must be 16 years of age or older.
