Everybody is welcome at The Bridgewater Hall, whatever your age, background or interests.
A Little Bite Music is a series of free, professional performances in the Stalls Foyer between April and September each year. The programme presents a diverse range of classical, contemporary and world music with an emphasis on Manchester's own musicians. At the end of each season, Bridgewater Introducing presents some of Manchester's leading young classical artists in smaller scale café concerts.
The Bridgewater Hall Singers is our lunchtime singing group, meeting fortnightly on Wednesday lunchtimes. Find your voice in a fun, informal environment where everybody is welcome – with no auditions, no prior expectations, and no need to read music. Led by Simply Singing, the group will learn songs from jazz and blues, to barbershop, soul and choral works. Throughout the year, there’ll be opportunities to perform, link up with other choirs and take part in events at The Bridgewater Hall – or just to join in and sing for pleasure in your lunch break or on a trip into town.
We offer regular pre-concert talks, and more in-depth adult learning opportunities including study days, masterclasses and creative projects. Visit our What's On section to see all upcoming adult events, including pre-concert talks and events led by our resident orchestras.
We occasionally recruit volunteers to support Bridgewater for All events. If you'd like to join our team, keep an eye out for opportunities or submit an application at any time and we'll call you back when we next need volunteers. Most roles involve working directly with audiences, supporting creative workshops or collecting feedback from visitors. You can download an application on the right hand side of this page.
Charities and CICs working with communities in Greater Manchester can now register for our Community Membership programme. Community Members benefit from free and discounted tickets for International Concert Series performances and other concerts, reduced price tours of the building, invitations to participate in outreach activities and special events at the Hall. It's free to join, and there are no obligations. Contact Learning for more details.
