Musical discovery sessions for young people with special educational needs and their families.
Young people and adults can enjoy the relaxed environment of the morning concert, followed by a workshop with support from One Education’s Beth Bishop to allow audience members to explore musical ideas in more depth, inspired by the performance. Previous concerts have included folk, string quartets, sea shanties and brass quartets.
Music is provided by The Chroma Harp Duo (Lucy Nolan and Rebecca McIllroy). The Chroma Harp Duo will present a versatile and engaging programme exploring the many sounds that two harps can make. Classically trained, both harpists will present music ranging from an energetic Rumba to well-known classics such as Clair de Lune and a contemporary musical pantomime. There will be the chance for audience members to interact with the music and have a go on a harp themselves if they would like.
