Bee Vocal Choir

Are you 18 years and over? Are you or have you previously experienced mental health difficulties? Then we invite you to join us in finding fun, friendship and a voice through song.

Bee Vocal Choir are on temporary break due to the ongoing impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. They will be re-launching in Spring 2022, so watch this space!

The choir is for people aged 18 years and over, who are currently or have previously experienced mental health difficulties. The choir is led by Choir Master, Dan McDwyer with support from Elaine Craig, Graduate Psychologist and Bee Vocal Administrator, Adam Blease.

Bee Vocal Choir, aka The Manchester Mental Health Choir, was established as a creative release for people experiencing mental health challenges. The aim is to create a safe, fun and non-judgmental environment for you to make new friends, share experiences and join together as one voice. Psychology studies show us choirs have a positive impact on mental wellbeing. The new friendships remind people they are valued and belong. Singing relieves symptoms of anxiety and depression and group singing releases chemicals that make you feel happier.
