The Little Big Band is a new project from Steve Parry. Originally conceived as a cutdown version of Steve Parry And The Big Band From Hell, it has now turned into something slightly different. Whereas The Big Band From Hell specialises in music based on the styles of the Buddy Rich and Thad Jones/Mel Lewis bands, The Little Big Band has a slightly more open sound, relying much more on the soloistic strengths of the individual players as well as the collective ensemble sound.

Actually more like a large small band than a little big band! This band, a 9-piece, brings together some of the finest musicians in the northwest of England, spanning Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds, and has included the likes of Andy Morel, Jim Corry, Richard Hammond and Colin Lamont. The band plays original and standard material all specially arranged by the leader, Steve Parry, who also plays trumpet and valve trombone.
