Three distinguished international musicians come together for an evening of Schubert. His two piano trios are masterpieces of the early romantic style, combining effortless lyricism with dramatic power and invention. Steven Osborne trained in Manchester, while Alina Ibragimova was a huge success during the 2009 Manchester International Festival, performing unaccompanied Bach. Cellist Alban Gerhardt won the praise of Rostropovich and is one of the finest performers of his generation. This will be an evening of sublime delights.
