In the first of two concerts this season as one of the Hall’s new Associate Artists, Harry Christophers and The Sixteen explore music inspired by the Virgin Mary. The repertoire is based on the choir’s CD of the same title. Intense, devotional and profound, this moving sequence of Marian motets, anthems and organ pieces illustrates the enduring power of the sacred muse as a source of inspiration for composers through the ages.

‘Performances throughout show this marvellous choir at their most eloquent, beautifully balanced and blended.' The Gramophone
