The Orchestra will perform a feast of delightful orchestral classical music in a concert with a Spring theme presented by Matt Baker and conducted by Richard Davis.

The programme will include movements from the following works: Ivor Hodgson's Festival Overture, Vivaldi's Spring from The Four Seasons performed by Yuri Torchinsky, leader of the BBC Philharmonic, Tchaikovsky's Valse Des Fleurs from the Nutcracker, Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumble Bee, The Simpsons theme tune, Benjamin Britten’s Storm from Four Sea Interludes, Kodaly's Viennese Musical Clock, Strauss's Cuckoo Polka and Respighi's Pines of Rome.

The whole concert will last for approximately one hour. There will be big screens in the auditorium so you will have a very clear view of what’s going on, and the Salford Family Orchestra will make their Manchester debut during the concert!

Before and after the concert there will be lots of things to do at The Bridgewater Hall in the foyers and on the main plaza, including:

Salford Rangers will be on hand to show families how to make simple Bird Feeders out of dead and re-cycled wood. Plus hints of good things to feed them!

BBC Interactive give you the chance to 'have-a-go' at presenting the weather on screen as if you were on the TV!

Arts/Crafts Stall - Make and create things associated with the theme of spring and the seasons: animals, flowers, birds, puppets, mobiles, collages and much more.
