America’s legendary singer-songwriter Don McLean returns next May, performing 6 dates across the UK. Over the course of his extraordinary career Don McLean has sold over 40 gold and platinum records worldwide, performed 12 world tours and has appeared in concert more than 3,500 times. He was inducted into the Song Writers Hall of Fame, in New York in 2004, and in February 2002 American Pie was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Between the heady years of 1971 and 2000, Don McLean released over 20 albums and scored major chart successes with Everyday (1973), Mountains of Mourne (1974), Crying (1980), Castles in the Air (1981), Since I Don’t Have You (1981), You Can’t Blame the Train (1987) and again with American Pie in the UK in 1991. In the last 35 years McLean’s songs have been performed by artists as diverse as Madonna, Fred Astaire, Weird Al Yankovick, Elvis Presley, Josh Groban and Coolio.
These shows will be his only performances in the UK this year where his new album Addicted To Black will be available. Don’t miss seeing Don McLean, in his only UK tour for 2010.
