To celebrate his 70th birthday, the much-loved Irish flautist returns to Manchester with a virtuoso programme to demonstrate the expressive range of the instrument. He is joined by his wife Jeanne for a flute duet. Equally at home with a tin whistle or a golden flute, Galway remains a charismatic performer with few rivals. He is accompanied by 2009 Terence Judd-Hallé Award winner, the Ulster pianist Michael McHale.
