Rose without a Thorne
Tickets: £10.00 - £29.00
In a programme which celebrates 500 years since Henry VIII's accession to the throne of England, the evergreen Tallis Scholars perform works by composers associated with his times, including secular works and motets from the Eton Choir-book. The florid polyphony of the early Tudor period is interspersed with readings of contemporary texts by the likes of Shakespeare and the imposing monarch himself.
