Cloud Forms

January – June 2012

A composition project for GCSE pupils, inspired by The Bridgewater Hall's Reflections on Debussy season. Students from three schools will work with a professional artist to explore Debussy's music and art by his contemporary 'Manchester Impressionist', Adolphe Valette, at Manchester Art Gallery. Young people's own compositions will be performed in the foyers of The Bridgewater Hall to a public audience, after which they will be invited to attend one of the performances in the Debussy season.

We are now recruiting a lead artist for the Cloud Forms project. Please follow the link above to download a full job description and details of how to apply.

Children's Corner Concert and Workshops

The John Rylands Library on Deansgate is providing Japanese texts to view close up, and there'll be traditional Japanese clothes to try on.

Tickets for the concert and workshops are £5. Haiku and manga workshops should be pre-booked to avoid disappointment; all other activities are available on a drop-in basis.
