Everybody is welcome at The Bridgewater Hall, whatever your age, background or interests.
We run performance poetry and singing workshops throughout the year. Join us for a day or half day to explore your creativity and build new skills. If you’re coming for a whole day, why not link a workshop with a tour of The Bridgewater Hall? Join an expert guide to discover what goes on in the hidden spaces of this magnificent concert hall, with a special focus on the areas which interest you most.

If you’re keen to get more involved, you can enjoy free music throughout the summer through our A Little Bite Music lunchtime concert season. A wide range of exciting musicians appear in the foyer every Friday lunchtime from May 7 until early September.
If you can’t make it into the city centre, Music on your Doorstep sees the same artists performing in community venues across Greater Manchester. Taking in libraries, social clubs and local arts centres, you can discover new music in your community free of charge this autumn.
Many of our learning projects also involve community groups. In 2009, ladies from Wythenshawe performed in the foyer as part of the Hall’s piano festival, whilst everybody was welcome to try out one of the Steinways that were available to play in public spaces throughout the building.
In 2010 we’re planning a project with signing choirs, who will be invited to work with early music choral group The Sixteen. Find out more and register your interest here.
